Biomechanical Examinations for Custom Orthotic Inserts

Blog by Vancouver Orthotics, Hycroft Medical Building (114-3195 Granville St @ 16th Ave) | November 19th, 2016

As part of every orthotics examination, Dr. Michael Horowitz will perform a biomechanical analysis of your feet. A biomechanical examination provides information on the bone structure, joint integrity, and callusing patterns of the foot, which are all used to determine the source of injuries or abnormalities. The biomechanical examination may also include an analysis of posture, the legs, range of motion of the hips and knees, and well as an assessment of the hips or low back. To book an orthotics examination, please give us a call today.
Note from Dr. Michael: Hello everyone! All new patients at our office receive a biomechanical examination of the feet and/or spine to determine the healthy and not-so-healthy “kinetics” of movement. Results from your body biomechanics tell me all that I need to know in order to make recommendations and come up with a Game Plan to support your feet and improve your posture. I’m looking forward to meeting you and helping through better biomechanics!
