Achilles Tendonitis is tendinitis (inflammation of a tendon) of the achilles tendon, generally precipitated by overuse of the affected limb and is more common among athletes training under less than ideal conditions. Poor footwear, faulty foot mechanics and repetitive strain are the most common causes of this condition. Achilles tendonitis responds well to rest, ice, massage and correction of faulty foot mechanics with the use of custom orthotic inserts/shoes.

Achilles Tendonitis - Achilles tendinitis is inflammation of the tendon, generally due to overuse of the affected limb or as part of a strain injury.
