Vancouver Orthotics have the following effects on your Body

Blog by Vancouver Orthotics, Hycroft Medical Building (114-3195 Granville St @ 16th Ave) | January 5th, 2021

Vancouver Orthotics have the following effects on your Body:

  • Better Foot and Overall Body Alignment (Posture)
  • Improved Shock-Absorption
  • Enhanced Balance and Stability
Please remember the following points:
•If after the break-in period, at 3 to 4 weeks, if you feel your orthotics are causing you discomfort, contact us at 604-737-3668 or email us at to discuss. We'll help you setup a follow-up appointment if necessary.
• Some symptoms are more complicated to resolve and need further assessment and treatment. Dr. Michael Horowitz also provides Chiropractic Services or he can recommend other services such as Registered Acupuncture or Massage. Sometimes Dr. Horowitz can recommend a Physiotherapist, Personal Trainer or Podiatrist if necessary.
Chiropractic Services include hands-on, drug-free approaches to relieving your aches & pains. Interested in "Perfect Posture" and continued improvements in your aches & pains? Let Dr. Michael Horowitz further assess you with Chiropractic Techniques.

Wearing the right type of orthotic in the right type of shoe is important.
We make (1) Sports Orthotics, (2) Casual Orthotics, (3) Dress Orthotics (4) High Heel or Flats Orthotics, (5) Workers Boots Orthotics, (6) Runners Orthotics, (7) Specialty Orthotics for Cleats, Ski Boots, Ice Skates, etc.
• New Orthotics are good for 3-5 years. However Dr. Horowitz recommends a re-examination every 1-2 years since symptoms and the body are always changing.
•As much we we love happy feet, we absolutely LOVE happy repeat customers - it's the ultimate compliment. So we always offer patients an additional pair for $300 within 6-months of your order.
Concerns you may have:
If you are experiencing any minor aches that move between your legs, knees, hips or lower back, this is an indication that your custom orthotics are having a beneficial effect. In the same way that your muscles may ache after a strenuous workout. Your new custom orthotics are stimulating your body and feet to become more mechanically efficient while offering more balance.
Occasionally, a new pair of custom orthotics may squeak. If this is the case, simply place some talcum powder between the footbed of the shoe and the orthotic. This should do the trick!
If you find that your orthotic is slipping forward or moving around, we recommend removing the manufacturer's insole. If that is not possible, try wearing the orthotics for a few days until they settle into the shoe. You can also use double sided tape to maintain position.
